There are a few small tables and friendly staff waiting to serve you good coffee ans decent fresh made sweet treats. Well worth a visit if in the area, very eclectic and a very cool setting. Museum and gift shop are a.o located in the House so you can have a brew and wander if you so desire. Recommended if You are in the area.
Have been here for brunch and high tea--both very satisfying experiences. Way too much food both times, high tea comes with 2 scones, 4 desserts and 3 savories per person. The 4 course set menu for brunch had me powered out after the porridge and omelette. Chef Salar was very attentive and makes great food! Looking forward to trying them out for lunch!
Beautiful cafe tucked away on campus, located in the Rutherford house. I came here on a Sunday where the only option was the 4 course brunch menu for $30. Be sure to check out their Facebook pages for the menu since it changes so often. To start, we had the honey cinnamon oatmeal with fruits and walnuts. The portion was small but tasty and fresh. The next course was egg benedict with sudjuk, orange hollandaise and a side salad. The egg was perfectly poached and that orange hollandaise sauce was a real winner. The orange fragrance was pleasant and brought the hollandaise to the next level. The crispy bread underneath was sweet but tasty. Following, was the chicken and waffles with a potato vegetable medley. The chicken breast was tender and not overly dry. The waffles were tasty and flavourful but a bit too soggy for my liking, reminding me of eggo. To finish things off, we had a chocolate mousse cake which was rich and decadent. Initially, I was skeptical with the portion and price, but after the four courses I was completely stuffed and satisfied. The Rutherford house is a beautiful hidden gem on campus and Vintage Fork is worth a visit. The menu changes daily and everything is a pleasant surprise. I had a wonderful dining experience!
This restaurant recently opened on campus at the Rutherford house and it is absolutely a gorgeous location! We tried some scones, the focaccia sandwich, salad and carbonara and everything was delicious. The portions are above average in size and presented beautifully. The staff was attentive and made suggestions when we asked. The location is nice and cozy and is a perfect perfect place to have lunch in the winter! Definitely make reservations though :
Excellent menu. Nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and professional. This place is unique and warm. I'll be back to try it again. Definitely adds to the collage of great choices in Edmonton
