Double Bacon is so delish!! Meat and veggie! Loving every bite! Fries are well cooked and crispy! Beefy angus burger we're awesome too! Servers: very friendly!
I've tried the Double Fat Cheese burger at their downtown location but stopped by to try their Mushroom Swiss burger and sweet potato fries at the west end location. Learning from my downtown visit I opted to forego the mustard altogether and instead ask for extra mayo and that was definitely the right choice confirmed after my first bite. The wait was not unlike the downtown location, a bit longer than fast food wait time but just slightly shorter than regular dine in restaurants. The burger itself was decent size and the amount of hearty chunky mushrooms was decent as well. You could taste the mushrooms were grilled with butter and the bun was light and airy. The sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy and the fries themselves were the right amount of potato meatiness thickness. The chipotle mayo, I didn't have high expectations for but was pleasantly surprised. Overall the meal was around $15 so definitely on the higher end for a burger and fries but the food quality and taste were quite good as well.
I didn't even know about Fatburger in WEM until I walked past it. I stopped I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with rings and a drink. Hot and fresh the price wasn't bad. I couldn't finish my meal. It was that big. The only thing that I can say that wasn't the best was the burger had a new equipment taste to it. New place so that may change pretty quick.
I had to wait for Zomato to add it through but I wandered through the food court last week to find it newly opened and decided to try it out. Usually, the fatburger chains are a sit down restaurant where the food would be delivered to you. Coming to the west Ed food court though it's your standard grab and go. (Except they have the buzzy thing to let you know when your food is ready*KEWL) So prior to trying this out, I tried five guys, this was the first time trying fatburger too and burger wise; I really didn't taste anything different? If anything the fries at five guys were tastier and better seasoned. But burgers were about the same to me. (Don't hate my lack of burger tasting knowledge) Anyway, the poutine was pretty good. the gravy specifically tasted really good along with the bits of chicken in it you can tell it was seasoned well! They also have wings and chicken tender combos, which is a first for wem food court food. On that note, the price tag for a burger and a poutine here was $15, without a drink. Wouldn't come for a burger... Maybe to try out the other chicken options though!
