The Colney Fox - St Albans

The food and service were outstanding. It's a great value for your money. The staff is friendly, parking is convenient, and booking is a breeze. The restaurant wasn't crowded, and there was plenty of space.

The atmosphere wasn't as enjoyable as it used to be, and the menu was rather limited. We were hoping for a salad or something similar, but there was only one option, which was unfortunately quite disappointing.

The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, and the staff is exceptionally attentive and eager to please. The sea bass had a soft, somewhat wild-looking fillet instead of the crispy skin I was hoping for, although it was delicious when paired with the sauce. I'm not entirely convinced that everything was cooked fresh. My friend enjoyed the roast beef, and while the cauliflower cheese appeared to be reheated, it still tasted good.

Nice eating and service was good just a little slow

Waited ages to be seated. Drinks were warm and flat (pints) didn’t change just poured in a new glass.. food took ages and come out small and Luke warm. Not enough staff and the one person taking orders didn’t have a clue what she was doing on one of the busiest days of the year
