Gourmet Kitchen Chinese Take Away

We tried many Chinese restaurants in St Albans, but we kept coming back to Gourmet Kitchen. It is a local favorite and the best we have found. We highly recommend the aubergine in black bean sauce and the beef ho fun (wide) noodles. The service is quick and friendly.

We visit this restaurant at least once a month. It's our favorite spot to unwind. It's always busy when we order on a Saturday night. It can be a little challenging to find parking nearby, but you can park in the lot across the road.

I frequently order Chinese food from this restaurant and there is always an issue with whether or not they include drinks in my order, even if I don't ask for them. However, tonight was the final straw when, after my order was delivered, they informed me that their card machine was not working. I offered to pay with cash, but they still could not accommodate. They only accepted cash and seemed unhappy about it.

Had my first farewell from here, was excellent, eating came very hot, the standard of the food was excellent, not greasy, the aromen and spicy really out. the price was right, I can't complain about everything.

I am sadly writing this in the hope that they may read and take some feedback as they don’t seam willing or bothered to listen to their long standing customers! I have used them for years, originally they had second takeaway Beijing. Sometimes I have...tried for between to get through to place order, even using call back! They have no online means of ordering. Last Monday, I tried and couldn’t get through only to find out they were closed on Mondays. I suggested a message to that affect would be useful. Basically told to read the menu leaflet! Just not willing to listen to customers, if there was somewhere local with as good as food that deliver they would have lost my customer. Please listen to your customers who are trying to help you!
