My husband, Scott Yarbrough and I have been eating here for 20+ years!! The food here is totally authentic Mexican that you can only get south of the border. Thankfully, we have Tortilleria Perches serving delicious authentic Mexican cuisine right here in Springfield Missouri.

My family went there today (4/18/24) and we all got sick from it. The tamales were bland, the caldo had no flavor. Not going back. Not worth the money!

Tortilleria Perches is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the area and one of the best restaurants in Springfield overall. I've been coming here for probably about 8 years or maybe a bit longer, sometimes visiting multiple times a week, and I've never had a bad experience yet. The food is always great, the staff is friendly as well as attentive and the owners are frequently present not just checking in or observing but working hard right alongside their staff. They remember regulars, but whether it's your first visit or your hundredth visit you can count on being treated with warmth and enthusiasm. Sadly I don't live close enough to visit frequently anymore but whenever I need the comfort of their delicious carnitas or want to celebrate something it is always worth the drive to visit Tortilleria Perches.
