Panera Bread - Springfield

I wanted to give this place a fair shot, but this might be my last visit. The coffee was cold, and although it was only half an hour before closing, everything had already been put away. When I asked for creamer, the employee seemed hesitant to help.

The restaurant was quite busy, with many people waiting. I placed my order an hour in advance through their website, but it took longer than expected. I appreciated their notification about the delay, even though I was already there waiting. The Greek salad was delicious, just as I remembered. This was my first time trying their pizza, and while it was tasty with a thin crust, I expected it to be crunchy but found it a bit chewy instead. Perhaps that was due to the fact that it was takeout and I ate it about 15 minutes later. Although this location is farther away, I prefer ordering from here because it’s generally clean, even when it’s busy, and the staff are always friendly.

The vibe was great and the employees were so kind and helpful. Nice spacious area where I went to work on my research paper for my Ph.D. class. I love it. Will definitely be going back. The food was fresh and delicious ????.

I was just in the mood for a simple grilled cheese, but what I got was a disappointing disaster. It resembled nothing more than a pile of paper stuck to some melted cheese. There's no way this sandwich was ever cooked on a grill or a panini press; it looked like it was simply microwaved. If they can't even manage a basic grilled cheese, I have serious doubts about everything else on the menu. I definitely won't be returning—what a letdown.

Best Panera around! Staff is amazing!! They prepare the food perfectly! Very accommodating establishment!
