Kfc - Springfield

I've had a consistently disappointing experience with the service here. It’s always slow, and the staff doesn’t seem particularly friendly. On my last three visits, they told me they were out of chicken for the famous bowl—which is quite ironic since chicken is in the name. If they're out, they should be creative enough to come up with a substitute, like using cut-up tenders to keep customers happy. I really enjoy their fries, but at this location, they’re often either overcooked, cold, or clearly stale from sitting out too long. Overall, I’m quite frustrated, as all I wanted was some decent food.

Unfortunately, this KFC location is in poor condition. It used to be one of my favorite spots, but I’ll be steering clear of it from now on. If you’re looking for overcooked chicken from a dirty kitchen at $50 for 12 pieces with slow service, then this is the place for you.

I visited the restaurant for lunch and ordered a fried chicken sandwich along with a drink. My total was $9.42, so I handed the cashier a $10 bill. Unfortunately, she told me they only accept exact change or credit cards. I mentioned that if other customers were able to pay with exact change, there should be 58 cents in the register. She stuck to her policy and insisted that only exact change would work. Frustrated, I chose to cancel my order and leave, and I won’t be coming back. I find this policy completely unreasonable.

The parking lot is a mess and feels like a deserted establishment. The ordering kiosk is partially broken, and the prices listed are incorrect. The five-dollar meal actually costs $10 and only comes with one chicken breast, a small serving of tasteless mashed potatoes, a drink, and a sealed cookie. Although the chicken itself was decent, there are many other places where you can get two pieces of chicken along with a complete meal for just $6 instead of $10. I won’t be going back to KFC.

We waited approximately 20 minutes for our two chicken finger meals, and when I asked about the delay, I noticed that our order was no longer displayed on the screen. It turned out they were still waiting for the chicken, which finally arrived five minutes later. While the chicken was hot, the fries were not, and our biscuit was forgotten, which we had to request. I really dislike writing negative reviews, but I've faced issues at all three KFC locations in Springfield on multiple occasions.
