This is a wonderful restaurant, both before and after the pandemic. They went through a significant remodel during the first couple of shutdowns, adding windows that enhance the atmosphere. The menu is somewhat limited, featuring a mix of Mexican standards and American classics like burgers and wings, all with some unique touches. The onion rings here are unlike any you’ll find elsewhere. They also have a good variety of drinks, including a decent beer selection with around five taps. Most surrounding businesses close around 6 PM, so there's plenty of parking available. You won't be disappointed!

The food here is outstanding, and the portions are generous! The restaurant has a laid-back, spacious atmosphere and provides excellent service. There's a sports bar area for a lively vibe, as well as a larger section for those seeking a quieter, family-friendly environment. They will soon be opening an outdoor BBQ terrace, which is exciting! This place is very comfortable, with plenty of room, making it perfect for families. As a family-run business, they truly care about their customers. I absolutely love it!

My partner and I live in Jamul and often drive by Valentins Bar n Grille, which is located where the former Greek Sombrero used to be. We decided to try their lobster special on a Friday night, and let me just say—it's two words: Totally delicious! While perusing the menu, we found a great selection of Mexican dishes, all sounding appealing and reasonably priced, with the highest price being just $19.99. The staff, including the bartender and waiters, were all friendly and in high spirits. When the Greek Sombrero closed, our area lost a wonderful spot for dining, drinking, and relaxing—but that's no longer the case. Valentins is a place everyone should experience; you won't be disappointed. I'm already looking forward to trying the 7 Mares soup for $16.99 or Val's special for $19.99. All in all, Valentins Bar n Grille gets my highest recommendation!
