El Bandido - Spring Valley

I drive 25 minutes to get here. Been coming here for 22 years. Very reasonable prices and full bar. Their Huevos rancheros is wonderful and served all day. The Mexican meatball soup is fabulous. I used to come here regularly I loved the beef burritos the shrimp Chilaquiles and the appetizers the drinks amazing atmosphere they used to serve a comp app with the chips the beans the cheese and even though I did not eat the guac that was the favorite complementary appetizer I ordered shrimp Chilaquiles one of my favorite meals from El Bandido the sauce cheese shrimp and the onions were different nothing tasted the same I said the only reason I came back was to enjoy the food that I remembered and had asked why everything as changed his reply was new owners the Tello‘s would have had a packed restaurant with people for lunch thru dinner I always ordered the shrimp Chilaquiles and the beef burrito which usually have lettuce on the side no lettuce and the bottom of the burritos were like paste I don’t understand if they have new cooks or if they just tweaked the recipes in my eyes that was definitely the worst idea the Tello’s when they owned the place it was not unusual to be jampacked at lunch there was only one table in there that had people sitting that should tell you something as far as the service goes service they are excellent the only thing they actually tasted the same was thr chips and salsa and thr amazing peach margarita that we had to order because the other machines weren’t working Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The mole chicken was the winner, hands down. The drinks were good and there was live music on Saturday. Guacamole was fresh and authentic.
