El Chaparro Mexican Grill Spring

This has become my new favorite Tex-Mex spot in the NW Houston area! We used to enjoy Los Cucos, but their quality has declined. Pappasito's has also increased their prices and it doesn't seem worth it anymore. When we visited El Chaparro, we were truly impressed by the service, the food quality, and the overall experience. The nachos were fantastic, the chips and salsa were delicious, and our waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning here every time we come to Houston!

I stopped by the restaurant to grab lunch while I was in the area. I was welcomed right away and given a menu to assist me with my choices. The staff member who greeted me also helped me select my meal and explained the dish I ultimately chose. She even packed it up into two plates so I wouldn't have to worry about that when I got home. I ordered Mexican tacos—two chicken and two beef—and they were absolutely delicious. The meal came with Spanish rice, lettuce, tomatoes, and borracho beans. Everything was beautifully packaged and looked as good as it tasted. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Ate here on Cinco de Mayo. I loved all the decorations they had inside! The green dip that they bring out with their chips was so good, I asked for another one! Also, their Seafood Enchiladas are the best! Amazing staff and a good time! Would come backhere again.

This is just another typical Tex-Mex restaurant. They offer all the usual menu items, but the food lacks effort and flavor. Taco Bell's fajitas have more taste than theirs. The refried beans are quite disappointing as well. If you enjoy Tex-Mex, I recommend steering clear of this place.
