Domini Sandwiches, Inc - Spokane

When I finally married in 2007, my bride-to-be from Denver flew her whole family into Spokane for our ceremony at the Japanese Garden in Manito Park. I gathered everyone together and took them downtown so we could enjoy Domini sandwiches. Each time I visit my brother in Spokane, my first stop is always for a Domini sandwich. It remains the best bite in downtown Spokane, and I savor every mouthful of my ham and Swiss—with a little popcorn and a beer on the side. This place should have been franchised fifty years ago—imagine Domini sandwiches across the country! I can only dream. Without a doubt, this is the best sandwich in the Pacific Northwest. FYI, they’re closed into August 19th. Checked them out today for the first time. Unimpressed. Meat, cheese, bread no veg, no grilling, etc. I can get all that at the Fred Meyer deli. Vegetarian options: None that I see.

I was downtown for work and had to take on an unexpected second shift. I tried a Reuben sandwich, and it was fantastic! The service was quick, and I especially enjoyed the bread. I will definitely be returning.

I got a Reuben and it’s the best sandwich I’ve ever had. They absolutely nailed the critical parts: bread, meat, and cheese. No need for fluff.
