Jake Clay's Public House

I called to place an order for 6 people and was informed that they would not be able to accommodate us without a day's notice for 5 sandwiches. It's a good thing we didn't go there to dine in, even though it was advertised as being less busy than usual.

The food at this restaurant was incredible! Everything was fresh and made in-house. You must visit this place! The French dip sandwich was delicious and the side salad was so crisp and refreshing. The service was great. I had a sit-down lunch and the price per person was between $10 and $20.

I have found my new go-to spot for soup! The grilled cheese had a fantastic cheese pull and the food was all fresh and delicious. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the meals. I definitely plan on coming back. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. I highly recommend trying the Tomato Soup, Bean and Bacon Soup of the Day, and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Great food and atmosphere, my friend and I both commented that this was a great place. But the server/bartender gentleman left a ton to be desired. He was very friendly with other people dining. Chatting, having conversations and laughing. My friend and I were completely ignored. When we asked what the soup was, he just pointed to the wall. When I asked what hard ciders they had, he pointed to the cooler behind us. Mind you, he told us to sit at the bar, even though there were plenty of tables available. We waited a half hour for our check, I finally had to wave him down to get it. Zero chance either of us will be back, after being completely ignored and felt to be unwanted there.
