Jimmy John's - Spirit Lake

The quality and speed at this Jimmy John's location are consistent with our experiences at other branches. The sandwiches were freshly made and the ingredients were delicious.

Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. We waited 20 minutes in the drive-thru for our order of a #1, #3, and #4, despite there being no one ahead of us in line. To make matters worse, we witnessed a worker eating bacon while walking around the restaurant, and another employee was seen stacking cookies into three different piles while we waited. Overall, the lack of professionalism and inefficiency of the staff has deterred me from returning to this establishment.

I visited the drive-thru today and the staff member taking my order kept interrupting me while I was trying to place my order. I had to ask her to please let me finish before she continued. I requested a sandwich without tomatoes or mayo, but with cheese. Despite this, the sandwich I received had tomatoes and no cheese.

I ordered a sandwich for delivery about 1:00pm, I intentionally waited thinking lunch rush would be over. My order was made and out for delivery within just a few minutes however the delivery driver took an hour to get here. I asked the kid what took solong and he told me he had to go 5 miles out of town for his last delivery, and technically his shift ended 20 minutes before hearrived at my location. Maybe we need to shrink the delivery area during our summer season? The soda was watered down since allthe ice had melted. Thankful I received my order, but this wasn't my first poor delivery experience.

Edit: since my original review of five stars, I've changed it to two stars because of my last couple experiences there. My last two visits, about a week apart, were intended to be through the drive thru, however, no employee ever greeted or answered me. Iwaited a couple minutes but then just ended up masking up and going inside, which totally negates the convenience of a drivethru. This happened my last TWO visits, which makes me thing the intercom was intentionally turned off. Both times there were noother customers inside or waiting in drive thru. End of edit. There's nothing special about this location's sammiches, butthe staff here are aces. Always friendly and polite.
