Contribuiți la feedbackThe hotel has an excellent location and overall we liked the ancient design of the building after the reconstruction. The room was very nice and clean. We had a beautiful view of the Medvědín mountain from the room and from the restaurant. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially the receptionist. We did not use the hotel wellness, as our internet reservation was unfortunately lost somewhere, so I cannot rate it. The receptionist was very apologetic, but of course it did not please us, everything was already occupied at attractive times before our arrival. I rate the hotel restaurant as a very bad experience. Breakfast and dinner as part of the half board were buffet style. However, the quality and choice of food did not satisfy me at all, for a 4* hotel it was, in a word, a tragedy. It is a great shame that such a nice hotel in a great location produces disgusting school canteen level gastronomy. Overall it spoiled my impression very much, I would hardly go back again. Rooms: We had a superior suite on the first floor which looked very nice and had been renovated. The room was clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the bathroom only has a bathtub and the toilet is connected to the bathroom. In the apartment, I was missing a chair to work at the table. There is a kettle and there was free bottled water. The suite has plenty of storage space and feels airy. The fact that the apartment is low above the hotel parking lot can be a bit disturbing. Nevertheless, there is a view of the mountains from both rooms. I would recommend avoiding the rooms on the ground floor in the Economy standard when booking, they looked quite worn at first glance and resembled basement rooms somewhere in a hostel. Nearby activities: The hotel is in a great location with a view of the town and Medvědín mountain. It is a short distance to the center of the town and the cable car to Medvědí. The pub The Pub is nearby. Cable car tickets were included in the price of the hotel, which we were happy to use. Food drinks: The food is probably the weakest part of the hotel's services. But I'll start with the best, the staff at the bar and in the restaurant were attentive and pleasant. The dining room is nice and they have a nice terrace with a view, but that's all there is to praise. The taste of the food is like some worse school canteen and the menu is very poor in terms of content. The buffet breakfasts were weak, little choice and the food was not described, so guests kept opening the 3 opaque containers to see what was inside. A constantly broken coffee machine that, when it works, only brews disgusting brown water from the powder. A bit of rancid coffee beans are sprinkled on top in a transparent compartment to make it look like the machine is working with coffee beans. Juices from a vending machine, the taste was a variation on vitacit. On Sunday, Bohemia sparkling wine was also on offer for breakfast, but it did not save the impression. Half board included soup and a choice of three buffet-style meals for dinner. The tomato soup was absurdly overspiced, the gnocchi with spinach, on the other hand, completely tasteless. The chicken roll was stuffed with pork sausage, supposedly farm sausage. Spaghetti Carbonara was tasteless, here I would insult school canteens. I would need to cut the pork with a chainsaw as it was tough and dry. Dessert was also available for dinner, a fruit bun with crumble. I preferred to put it down after one bite, the fruit was really only symbolic, the rest was a giant layer of dried sponge cake. I would recommend the hotel to work on gastronomy, if it helps, make half board more expensive, or and breakfast. But I don't want to eat this food in a 4* hotel. You insult the taste buds of your guests with your parody of coffee first thing in the morning. After all, the price difference for half board compared to the option with breakfast cost me 100 CZK per day per person, which was unheard of, but the quality corresponded to it. The enthusiasm of the dinner guests was quite evident. The restaurant's a la carte menu looked quite interesting, but after this experience I wouldn't eat anything here. Let me start off with the pros: The Breakfast was pretty good and the location is wonderful. The spa area is also good and relaxing and some waiters and the receptionist were really friendly! Now the cons: The room service was not good. We found crumbs and dirt from the day before and our mirror wasn't even cleaned once! Some other waiters were really inattentive and it looked like they didn't care. Furthermore the bar wasn't open even though it should've been. After spending 3 nights, I was left with a bad taste. The first impression was terrible, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. The photos presented are inadequate to reality, the hotel looks like 200 years old, except of course the reception and restaurant where the food is delicious and the service is nice. We were given a room where the door opened with a kick, but the bathroom door was probably eaten by rats. The room looked like an old basement that had been hastily modified. Reservation, of course, with a view, where in the morning after waking up we find a beautiful landscape of the Skoda parking lot. In any case, it is not worth booking via booking. If you want to stay here for a long weekend like we did, I definitely recommend it. A great starting point for various walking routes and excursions. Medvědín, Buda u Bíléh Labe or just smoking in the center of Špindlerův Mlýn. Parking is right outside the hotel and if you're lucky like us, you'll get windows with a beautiful view. Safety: If you visit the wellness center, tread very slowly and carefully. The floor is very slippery. There are traps waiting for you in the form of stairs and sharp corners of deck chairs. I do not recommend for children at all. Food drinks: Despite the fact that they have posters of excellent cuisine everywhere, I especially recommend the nearby The Pub or the restaurant Trautenberk. The kitchen of the Hotel Sněžka has brilliantly mastered plating, but the taste is already faltering. The comparison of the price (which is not exactly the cheapest) and the taste experience does not correspond very well. They can't mix drinks at all, or we were unlucky on a shift that was basically the same all weekend (Mon-Sun). Mojito tastes like sprite with lime. Gasoline lemonade sweetened. Aperol Spritz also not mastered. There was no soap in the men's toilets, so my son and I managed to do so with a short visit to the women's toilets. Noteworthy details: The lady at the reception was very nice, accommodating and helpful. She provided us with a free cable car to Medvědín thanks to special passes. At first glance, the serving of food looks very nice, but in terms of quality and taste, it is a very average to below average experience. The meat is almost impossible to cut, side dishes tasteless, too much pepper in a sauce that shouldn't be in it at all, etc. I'm not even talking about the taste of the beer. The overall impression is that four-star pubs...
