Shaking D'z - Spartanburg

The employees were very rude. We arrived at the bar around midnight. The bar itself was lovely, with comfortable chairs. However, the woman kept shouting at anyone who even moved with their drink. They were chasing people down for their IDs because they refused to wait at the door to check IDs for people entering. The staff was extremely rude. After enjoying the wonderful food, I asked the bartender what time they stopped serving alcohol. He said last call was at 1:30, and it was just a couple of minutes before 1am. Despite the unpleasant experience, we still drove a long way to have a good night. This bar would be great under new management. They don't know how to welcome new people. If they want a certain crowd to attend their bar, perhaps they should consider starting a membership program.

The restaurant was pleasant and clean. The bartender Brian was friendly, but the lady bartender could benefit from more customer service training. It took 45 minutes to receive a steak and cheese sandwich. When a friend asked for the meal to be comped, the bartender refused, stating that the owner does not offer refunds. I would not recommend this place to anyone, as I have been to dive bars with better service. Additionally, the bartender never returned my debit card. If you do decide to go there, be very cautious. Overall, I do not recommend it.

My husband ordered the "hamburger steak" plate with fries and slaw. The slaw tasted sour, as if it was spoiled, and the "hamburger steak" was just a bland hamburger patty without any gravy or onions. I had the chili dogs, which were actually good.

Great place with great service and well made drinks. I'll be back! They also have pool tables.

The owner/manager is absolutely awful. 2 friends and I went tonight and the entire time all she did was act nasty towards her staff and treat them like they were below her. Definitely did not make us feel like that was a place we needed to be. We finished our drinks and left. Definitely do not recommend this bar to anyone! By far the worst experience we have had.
