The Blue Olive - Southwark

This is a great family-owned restaurant serving delicious Greek cuisine. The restaurant has recently been renovated to a very high standard, making it look very nice and comfortable. I recently dined here with my family and tried their meat meze. The dip starters were average compared to other Greek restaurants where they are usually made in-house and taste much better. However, the garnel and calamari were a nice addition to the meat meze. The chicken souvlaki at the end was beautifully marinated and tender, providing a burst of flavor. Overall, it was a decent meze with a lovely atmosphere perfect for conversation, unlike other restaurants with loud music or cramped spaces. Improvements could be made to the starters and possibly adding something extra in the middle of the meze to make it even better.

I would like to take the opportunity to address some negative reviews I have read about this restaurant. If anyone is in doubt, please do not be, as it is actually a fantastic place to have a meal with family. Today, we celebrated my daughter's birthday and everything was flawless: the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff (we were served by 5 members), the personalized touch with the birthday cake, and our overall joy. But above all, the food was beautiful, delicious, and authentic. I have had a lot of fish in my life, but today's was the best. Thank you, Blue Olive, for making my daughter's birthday extra special.

I have been using this restaurant every time we visit the UK since moving to Cyprus. The quality of the food is fantastic, with a great wine selection. The staff were excellent, and when I had a small issue with some tough meat, they swiftly replaced my meal and even gave me a free drink. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends, and give it a 10 out of 10. It's important to address any issues with the staff directly, rather than posting negative reviews online without proof. We will definitely be returning for Christmas. - Andy Mand Anderson

I am Greek, I have eaten in many Greek restaurants in Greece cypris and uk, and this is not the best, but it is very good, there have eaten on Saturday night and on Sunday I was more than satisfied with staff and I think other reviews that these people have no idea what good food is. I like it and my wife, who is now a housewife, but was a top cook in the west end it is 1 of the better Greek restaurants out there

I LOVED IT. This is a very good restaurant, the service is quick and the portions were very generous. the waitors are LOVELY and i had an amazing time.
