Salt Quay - Southwark

Right by the Thames, this place has a great outdoor space with plenty of tables, even when it's busy. The food is very underwhelming, but grabbing a pint here with view is worth a visit

Although the setting was really nice, sitting along the water, the food was very disappointing. I had a BLT (minus tomatoes, which I don't like) which was very lacking. There were three strips of chicken on each side with a tiny piece of bacon on what appeared to be thin white bread, not the farmhouse loaf as advertised. I added on sweet potato fries, which were good. My friend had a burger which seemed decent and which came with fries. I guess my suggestion would be to avoid the BLT.

Exceptional service with great staff and delicious food. The location is tremendous view with Thames River beside it.

I have visited Salt Quays a few times for project meetings, and each visit has been a delight. The atmosphere is amazing with beautiful scenery, making it a perfect spot for a lunch meeting. The staff and service are outstanding, always exuding positive vibes and being extremely helpful. Shannon, in particular, is wonderful to communicate with. She understands when I’m in a meeting or viewing self-tapes and always offers great interpersonal skills. Shannon, along with the rest of the staff such as Helio are truly amazing and very helpful, makes visiting Salt Quays a pleasure. Highly recommend!

Salt Quays location next to the Thames is the standout feature and add to that the free parking for customers and it has a good recipe for a decent night out. However the food was nothing to shout about, my pie, mash and gravy was a bit sad. The consistency of the mash was that of wallpaper paste. Everyone in my party either didn’t much like their food or described it as just edible. You can tell it was frozen and definitely not fresh. Drinks were fine I had a nice caramel apple cocktail which I loved. Service was ok, just annoying to be told multiple times that we needed to finish our food and leave the upstairs dining area by 5.30pm when we first got there and throughout our time when it was over 1 hour away yet. We were trying to celebrate a friends birthday and leaving do ffs.
