Real China - Southwark

I recently visited this restaurant with my wife for their lunchtime buffet and we were extremely disappointed. Despite only being open for 30 minutes, the food was cold and the sweet and sour chicken was barely warm. The selection of food was limited and the cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. There were crumbs all over the floor around an empty table, and the entire floor looked like it had just been quickly mopped without being properly cleaned. It is concerning that there was no visible hygiene rating, but based on our experience, I doubt it would be very high. Overall, the initial appearance of the restaurant was deceiving, as the reality of the experience was underwhelming.

I ordered from this restaurant while working a night shift. If I had known about their one-star hygiene rating, I wouldn't have purchased from them. The food was decent, but I was disappointed to receive the smallest pot of satay sauce I have ever seen.

I ordered takeaway from Just Eat and decided to check the food hygiene ratings on Scores on the Doors. I was disappointed to see that the restaurant only had a 1-star rating. I then looked at reviews on Trip Advisor, which were also not promising. I called the restaurant to cancel my order, but was told I would have to go through Just Eat. The food was delivered and looked good, but I could only eat a little bit due to my concerns about hygiene. I have contacted Just Eat to suggest displaying food hygiene ratings, as it's important for customers to know if there is a risk to their health. I would never order food from a place with such a low rating. Just Eat is apparently looking into the issue. Beware, people.

Me and my friends visited real China in hull for a meal out and was immediately drawn in by the wide range of menu choice displayed outside the restaurant however inside the buffet was nothing like described on the menu, there was hardly any choice compared to what the menu said, likewise with the deserts only to see inside there was ONE Deseret available that appeared crushed and very unappetising. We each gave the food a try and was disgusted by the quality of the food we ate!! The chicken was puffed up with water and tasted like pure liquid, the duck pancakes was Almost like sawdust as was the pork and the sides of chips and onion rings we ate to go with it were soggy and ice cold!! After been cleared away with almost a full plate we complained before paying and was completely ignored! The women at the till was ridiculously rude and said “no one ever complains” “our food is fresh” (which is most certainly wasn’t) and didn’t care in the slightest to how poor out experience had been, me and my friends were shocked in the rude manner we had been spoke in after only mentioning how disappointed we were! I defiantly don’t recommend visiting real China as even after our complaints we revived no apologies and was forced to pay full price for the food we hadn't even touched. Absolutely disgraced and will NOT be returning “real” China again!!!!

I ordered some chow mein noodles and I received this vermicelli, completely not saucy and they also seemed from yesterday!!! They were absolutely not good.
