Chicken Cottage - Southwark

I ordered the chicken wrap meal. It arrived promptly, which is not always a good sign. The chicken in the wrap was cold and didn't seem fresh or crispy. The fries were surprisingly good though. The bottle of water was also good.

Just because there are Asians inside a chicken shop doesn't mean it is good for white people too!! Chicken Cottage is purposely located in less diverse areas of London to make white people feel a bit more cultured during their lunch break. The truth is, every other race knows that Chicken Cottage serves overpriced and simple fried chicken, but white people seem to keep coming back. Why pay £5.99 for (5) wings, chips, and a drink when you can get (6) wings, chips, and a drink of better quality, with better service, for only £3.00 in other places like Morley's? It seems like Chicken Cottage is for the white middle class! In my opinion, the food is not worth it, the shop is unimpressive, the owners and workers are lazy, and some can be quite rude - especially the young man at the Tooley Street location, probably named Mohammed. Keep an eye out next time you're there and see how many brown people are actually eating inside. Perhaps you're paying the extra price to avoid seeing them. So, if that's the case, then Chicken Cottage is the place for you! Stay alert and God bless - Swizzy.

It was very disappointing to see that none of the staff were wearing any face coverings, especially the chefs who were working directly with food.

Came here on the way to the Shard and just wanted a takeaway. Good range and value, friendly staff and prompt service what more could you want.

3 piece cottage meal, every time. Great service, the staff tell you exactly how long the wait is and they serve you promptly when it is ready.
