The One Eyed Dog - Southsea

This pub is a decent spot during the day. The Dog features a well-stocked bar and plenty of seating options. There are also two pool tables that are quite affordable to use. The drink prices are reasonable, and it's connected to The Duck next door, which serves real ale. My only issue with this place is that it tends to cater mainly to students, making it difficult to enjoy a quiet drink in the evenings.

Charming neighborhood pub that brings together locals and students daily. Prices are fantastic before 8 PM, but they become more average afterward. It has a bit of a dive bar vibe since it doesn’t serve food, has no live acts aside from a DJ on weekends, and offers a typical selection of drinks. The place could use some renovations and better seating arrangements, along with a thorough cleaning. However, the fantastic clientele, excellent music, and good beer make it hard not to return week after week.

Predominantly a student pub, so it pretty basic but a good place to get a drink. Plays loud music- mainly rock music so attracts a restricted audience. Generally is a good place to socialise, has pool tables and a large seating area. Has live acts sometimes and special deals on drinks on certain nights of the week. Drinks can be quite expensive but in keeping with the area.

One of my favorite pubs in Portsmouth! It's always bustling on weekends, but Mondays are great for students with discounted drinks. The atmosphere is lively, and the barmaids are friendly, along with the patrons and staff. It's also a fun place to dance on the weekends!

Good pub, however, went for a bale outside and the ginger bouncer said we had had too much to drink, when we hadn't had that much, and wouldn't let us back in to finish our drinks, even though the other bouncer said we were fine. Don't recommend when you've had a drink because apparently when you've had one drink it's too much
