Didn't expect much when we walked in. One of the only lunchtime reservations at short notice on Melbourne Cup Day. The staff have been amazing. So helpful and accommodating. Limited menu because of the day but they went above and beyond for my grandson. I've been so impressed by the service and attitude of staff here. Definitely recommend!

This isn't really a Restaurant and even less a Bistro in the proper sense. It's more a place to game that also serves food, albeit in large portions and well cooked. But you're surrounded by TV screens offering Keno, Horses, even F1 races, so the atmosphere is hardly conducive to a quiet meal. It aims fairly and squarely at tradies and the cuisine reflects that, heavy on schnitzels and burgers. My chicken schnitzel at $14.50 was superb! Tender, juicy, with a side serving of gravy, crispy chips hiding underneath the chicken but oh so large. I couldn't finish it, and I'm a hearty eater. The wines were heavily marked up considering that it's immediately next door to First Choice Liquor, so paying $28.00 for a Stag Chardonnay was steep. Ambience? Zero; service efficient but entirely lacking panache. Parking on site is ample. But I very much doubt that we'll be back.
