The pub was in the newagen seaside inn. eating was good and a little on the expensive side. I have sampled the muscles, crabcakes, the ferbsenraviolis with a pea sauce.
I really enjoyed our meal here. we were for the weekend at boothbay, but I was there several times and wanted to branch out a bit. that was short.
We dined on our last night at Newagen's in-house restaurant. We had been advised that service might be slow because a wedding reception was in progress that would be making demands on the kitchen, but it was not a problem. We decided to share a golden beet salad though the beets were regular purple beets rather than golden. For entrees, both my wife and I chose halibut over truffled risotto that was perfectly cooked and very good.
I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at this restaurant. We were in Boothbay for the weekend and decided to try a new place to eat. The pub is located in the main building of an inn, and although parking was a bit confusing, we were able to find a spot. We didn't make reservations in advance so we couldn't get a table with a view, but the inside was charmingly dark and cozy. The staff was friendly, especially our waiter Rinaldo, who provided great service even when the restaurant was busy. I tried an Aperol Spritz which was delicious. I ordered a warm lobster roll, which was different from the traditional cold lobster roll with mayo. The price was reasonable at $19 and the portion size was perfect for me. The lobster was cooked to perfection and the roll was warm and crispy. My dining companion enjoyed their mussels in broth as well. I regret not having room for dessert, especially after hearing about the bread pudding. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
