Contribuiți la feedbackLooking for Thai food? Sushi? A combo of both? Thai peppers is your place. They are currently closed for dine in but have a super safe pick up option during COVID-19. The lunch specials are great value and delicious. We have tried multiple menu items, all which are amazing. Lately I have been doing the lunch sushi combo and it is delicious. The sushi is very fresh and there are a ton of options. I also love the pad Thai and curry dishes. The dumplings are tasty as well. We usually get take out at least once on every trip down to OKI, even though Thai peppers is in Southport!
Sadly we visited during the COVID-19 days and we were not able to dine in, but are limited tables out side. The food was very delicious, and nice portion sizes, I was full and happy, when done. The vegetables were good and the meat cooked perfectly. I will make a beeline for here next time I am near Southport NC!
This restaurant does not serve authentic Thai food. The Pad Thai lacked sauce, flavor, and was dry, making it the most disappointing dish I've ever had. Unfortunately, the problem extended to everyone's meals. The lack of flavor and spice was disappointing, and I regret not reading reviews beforehand. I recommend avoiding this place if you want a satisfying meal. My whole family was let down, so we decided to go out for pizza instead. I was so disappointed that I threw my dish in the trash and didn't even bother taking a picture. Any review above one star is likely biased and untrue. I would have given half a star if possible.
I don't know how this place gets 4 stars. We had two orders of Pad Thai and one of the Pad Kee Mao. All three dishes were dry. The Pad Thai was flavorless. And the shrimp I added was over cooked. The Mao was dry, had little vegetables in it, the shrimp was over cooked and the chicken was dry. Overall was very disappointing.
We were in Southport for the afternoon and stopped for an early dinner. Since we live locally in Coastal Carolina, we decided to go for something different than the normal seafood dinner and spotted this Thai place on our walk around town. We both love Thai food so we decided to try it. First, they are currently not doing indoor dining ... okay, so we figured we'd order our food and sit at one of the tables on the covered patio out front. My husband ordered the special Pad Thai (shrimp and chicken) and I ordered a beef and vegetable dish. We also ordered an order of spring rolls. First off, the order was mixed up they gave us two of my order and no spring rolls. We did get that corrected. The meals came in the pedestrian plastic food containers with the ubiquitous sporks ... ugh. My meal looked wholly unappetizing a very tiny amount of beef with the usual suspects in veggies carrots, broccoli, etc., swimming in an uninspired sauce that was so watery and flavorless, I think it was just water with some soy sauce thrown in for color. My husband's Pad Thai was also uninspired dry noodles, three shrimp and a few skimpy pieces of chicken. Oh and my meal came with the tiniest little cup of rice. No condiments were offered either. The spring rolls were mostly wrapper with a tiny bit of vegetable filling visible and no protein of any kind that we could discern. This was one of the saddest Thai meals I've ever had. It was edible but honestly, it was so blah and presented in such an unimaginative way. A friend recommended that we try Southport Siam Bistro next time we are in town and that's exactly what we'll do. No photos because it just was not photo worthy.
