Halikarna's Kebabs - Southend-on-Sea

The staff at this restaurant were impolite and served me the incorrect food. They did not offer to replace it with the correct order. I will not be returning and spent 40 pounds on the mistake. I suggest avoiding this place.

I decided to give this restaurant another try, but I wish I hadn't bothered. I ordered the chicken shish kebab and was surprised that it was ready in under 5 minutes. However, when I got home, I discovered that the chicken was lukewarm and the vegetables were soggy. It seemed like the food had been sitting for a while before being served. I don't understand how this place has received good reviews; they obviously haven't tried other options to see that there are better choices available elsewhere.

Well I have been going to Halikarnas for years and over the years was always the best, would always go miles out the way to go there and didn’t mind paying that little bit more because it was always very good but now moved around the corner from there and it’s just got worse and worse, tonight was the last straw for us and I will not be ordering anything from Halikarnas again! We ordered our food and it took over 2 hours and 40 minutes to get to us! When phoned up to ask where it is we got the same old story, “it’s on its way? Just left” which was a lie! when it did come to us the food was cold and some of the order was missing, £45 wasted! Didn’t even get a drink for a £45 order First thing! If you get the order wrong do something about it! Don’t just keep saying okay! We will give you free chips and kebab next time! I paid for it? And it was missing? So it’s not free is it? Put it this way if I walked into haliarnas ordering chips and a kebab then said I’m not paying they wouldn’t have it? So why should I have to pay for something that I didn’t have? If theirs going to be hours and hours wait then tell people the truth! Don’t keep saying 50 minutes! I am a builder and if I done a half arse job I wouldn’t get paid? So why do Haliarnas think they should! It all went in the bin in the end! Thanks for putting me right off! Never again! I don’t know what’s gone so so wrong!

I ordered food from this restaurant at 6:30 via Just Eat. After 90 minutes passed without receiving my order, I contacted the restaurant and was told it would arrive at 8:15. Despite waiting, there was no sign of my order and the phone line was constantly busy. I sent additional messages through Just Eat but no discount was offered. Frustrated, I ended up driving to the restaurant. Just as I arrived, the delivery driver called to say they were 5 minutes away. The food finally arrived at 9:10. The driver apologized for the delay. The meat dish was tasty, but the garlic bread was dry and only slightly warm. I used to order from this restaurant frequently, but the lack of communication and 2.5 hours of waiting without being able to reach them left me extremely disappointed.

We have now been lied to 3 times in the space of half an hour. We have been told that the food was leaving the restaurant on 3 separate occasions, only to find out that it is still sitting in the shop. It then arrived in what can only be discribed as a piece of old news paper....poorly presented and soggy. We have 2 kids waiting to go to bed which is totally unacceptable. Delivery driver was rude and tried running away before we had checked the order.
