Harry Ramsden's - Southampton

The fish and chips were quite good, not quite up to the standard of Harry Ramsden's in Blackpool but a different type of restaurant. The staff all seemed very unhappy and like they'd rather be working somewhere else. The cash register visible to customers was covered in dust. However, when the food arrived after about 5-10 minutes, the cod and haddock were delicious, with tasty white meaty fish and crispy, non-greasy batter. I have yet to find a better fish and chip shop in the Hampshire area.

The staff at this restaurant are very attentive and the food is delicious. The only downside is that we were unable to use the Wi-Fi service because our phone numbers and postcodes were not recognized in the login app.

My wife and I decided to have an early dinner, so we stopped by this restaurant around 5:15 pm. We both ordered the regular cod and chips with mushy peas for £7.99 each. The portions were just the right size and cooked perfectly. Although we could have had extra chips for free, we were content with what we had. Our server, Sofia, was friendly and attentive.

The fish was flavorful and the batter was crispy without being greasy. Overall, this is the best fish and chip shop I have found in the Hampshire area so far.
