The Robin - South Tyneside

Came for a pint at 9pm on a Saturday night. you're closed! Not very impressed

This restaurant is now under new management, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered mince and dumplings, which was a good portion size and delicious. The plates were left empty and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone nothing but fraudulent people with no respect and carnt pay what they owe people pub has certainly got the right name the robin because that’s what they are best at robin people completely let down by this place

The beer selection was decent, but our experience on Father's Day was disappointing. We were expecting a proper meal, but ended up at a carvery. The vegetables were undercooked and inedible, so none of us ate them. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and tasted like glue. The gravy was weak and lacked flavor, and the meats, particularly the turkey and beef, looked overcooked. Even the roast potatoes were bland. Overall, we left feeling disappointed and still hungry.

Took grandkids outfor their tea, food was lovely, we had the steak night, kids enjoyed their meals nd value for money , will be back maybe without grand kids ha ha xx
