Gregory's Restaurant - SOUTH TAMWORTH

After a restful night's sleep at this motel a few of fronted up for a lovely breakfast. Continental or Cooked are on offer.

Pretty limited menu of standard pub style fare, roasts, schnitzels etc. A bit overpriced for the basic menu on offer and while it fills the spot, my veges were a bit tired and meal was just OK. Friendly service which tries hard but overall I am sure there would be better offerings in the area.

Generous proportions but variety a bit limited. More options would certainly help to keep regulars interested. Average prices for beverages. Service was a little too stressed and formal. Diners don't want to see anyone suffering for their benefit. Waitperson just needs to relax a bit and engage the diners more. It isn't all about taking orders, snatching menus, clearing dishes with light-speed. It kind of feels intrusive too. Nonetheless, wholesome tucker served hot.

Room service is always good food, which is important when travelling and you don't want to go out for dinner.

I had a meal from here while staying at the motel. After a long day of work and driving I ordered in room service (which is great when you don't want to have to head out again to find something to eat). The menu selection is good, with plenty of choices. The meal arrived in a timely manner, and It was well presented. The meal servings are very generous and offer great value for money.I really enjoyed my main meal of Pork chops. The oysters for entree were fantastic. I live on the coast where oysters are plentiful, but these would have to have been some of the largest and tastiest oysters I have ever had.I can highly recommend dining here.
