Lotus House - South Somerset

I ordered delivery tonight and it was worth every penny. The food was fresh, hot, and the portions were big. The prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly and polite. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be ordering again. Thank you.

I called in on my way home from work and discovered that this take-out was excellent. The staff was really friendly and the Chicken Chow Mein was the best I've ever had. Thank you.

I went to pick up a takeaway and encountered a young man working at the counter. I found him to be quite rude as he did not acknowledge the customers in the restaurant and instead focused on answering the phone. He seemed disorganized and made the experience less enjoyable.

Ordered almost £60, took an hour which is ok. They missed off the sweet and sour chicken balls and put in extra chips. I called to say this had been missed off and could they deliver the correct item, I was told no as the driver didn’t have time so I said I would go and collect. Drove 10 mins to get these only to be told by the poor young girls serving that the manager (who had just had a baby and was poorly upstairs, whilst they babysat a small bit of hers) that I would have to pay for the sweet and sour chicken balls again.... I argued that I had already paid for them and drove to collect them, asked to speak to the manager and was told she wouldn’t come down to speak to me, and I wouldn’t get my money back! No staff in the kitchen could speak English either. The manager had also cleared the receipts away and we didn’t get one with the order. After saying how unhappy I was and that they needed to give me the money back or the product the girls reluctantly gave me the cash back, although I do feel they will get in trouble for this. Service was awful from the manager, the poor young girls did a great job. Chicken omelette was more of scrambled eggs with chicken pieces, special fried rice was covered in a gravy sauce, no free prawn crackers after spending almost £60, chicken satay were so tough even the dogs had trouble chewing them! I would not recommend this place to anyone. Lovely looking menu that came through the door but place on arrival was horrible, unsure we were even at the right place first. The place is a joke!!!

I will never use this takeaway again... first they over charge me on delivery and tried to deny it! I eventually got my money back after speaking to the manager. I thought i would get past that and try to order again tonight. Placed the order for collection this time, to find when i go to pick it up they had given my food to someone else!!! Im livid
