We viewed empty tables through the window, only one with 'reserved ' on.. We went in and asked for a table for 2, We were told they were fully booked, and not likely to have any available. Most places would have said, would you like to pop back later to see if we have any tables free. Now given , we both noticed the lady looked at our badges, which said 'We stand for Freedom ' and 'Cash is King '. We are now wondering if we hadn 't had the badges, would a table have been found. We will not be returning, and will advise our friends what happened, so they can be aware.
We stopped by for a light lunch last week while visiting Castle Cary and Bruton. This cafe was a refreshing change from the expensive and crowded restaurants in Bruton. The owners were friendly, the atmosphere was unpretentious, and the freshly prepared salads were delicious and affordable. It restored our faith in local Somerset life. We can't wait to stop by again on our next visit. Great job!
Always friendly service and great coffee. A very eclectic and warm interior to hide away and relax or sit outside in a quiet alleyway.
Luke Jackie were considerate, friendly hosts. Lunch we are gluten free) was beyond delicious definitely worth a lunch time stopover. Greatsetting in old courtyard, too.
