Up North Pizza Co - South Shields

I discovered them when they were still a food truck. Since then, they've gained quite a following among friends and family, and now they've opened a permanent location. They offer great options for both vegans and non-vegans. The deli items and drinks are absolutely delicious, and their pizzas are incredibly beautiful. Oh my goodness, they are amazing!

This food truck is conveniently located for me, and I’ve been eager to try their pizza for some time now. I placed a preorder for vegan pizza online and confirmed a pickup time. The pizza was delicious, featuring a great variety of toppings and a fantastic crust. The vegan cheese was excellent, though there is a small extra charge for it. The couple running the truck is very friendly, and I've heard they'll soon be opening a physical location, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, check their social media for updates on their whereabouts as they serve various areas in South Tyneside.

The pizza was decent and of good quality, but I'm not particularly fond of stonebaked crusts. After a few slices, I found the cheese to be a bit overwhelming. They could also have been more generous with the toppings. The garlic sauce was tasty, though. I appreciate that they are very vegan-friendly, but it wasn’t my favorite vegan pizza. I'm glad I gave it a try, though!

The vegan cheese here is absolutely incredible (I can't recall its name). My partner and I come here regularly for pizza! You really can't beat it—the atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I give it a perfect 10/10!
