Il Panificio Pizzeria Downtown

This place is my best pizza and sub restaurant and unforgettable place in my life. I was at art college student and didn't have a car at that time. Only 5 dollar footlong SUBWAY restaurant (near by school) is my one-day meal. One day, my roommate brought me there and we had Italian sub for the lunch…I felt nothing compared with any other food in my life and I fell in love with that sub and pizza right away since. It is still my best food entire my life and may be forever. More than 20 years passed tho… I still recall myself this restaurant that made me so much memories and many things about my younger ages in sarasota. I will visit someday soon and gonna eat everyday seeing beautiful sunset in siesta key with my lover and kids. This is one of the reason why i visit sarasota again.

Loved the pizza! We love thin and the slices are large. The display is full of several different kinds, you choose yours and they put it in the oven so it's hot and toasty! Family run and super friendly. My only complaint was tables were a bit of a mess. We still stayed and met some great people while there. Will definitely go back next time we're there!

This used to be the best place in Florida to get pizza now the service stinks the two people on Sunday they have no clue what they're doing they have no personality they made the meal taste like garbage. They used to be beautiful loaves of bread that they would sell in the store that's gone that's out the window and now you got people that don't speak English working there that can't count change whatever happened to this country I drove an hour and a half to get this pizza it sucked and the service sucked

Very good pizza but the location is gross. You can tell it was an old gas station. Service was great but it could really use some extra sanitation.

Good fast pizza. Go to the counter and order a slice just how I like it.
