Chinese Taste - South Salt Lake

This was the best hot and sour soup I've had in 20 years! I've been on the lookout for a great hot and sour soup ever since my favorite spot in Oakland changed ownership, and this one is just as good. I'm thrilled!

I had a terrible experience with the wonton soup, which had an unpleasant green substance, possibly seaweed. It was so unappetizing that I had to throw it away. The chicken lo mein was disappointing as well—there were only three small pieces of chicken and absolutely no flavor. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with my meal.

I approached my order with low expectations since the reviews were quite mixed, but I was pleasantly surprised! The C3. General Tso's Chicken was bursting with flavor and had just the right amount of spice without being overpowering. The P8. Sweet and Sour Pork was cooked to perfection and came with a generous amount of sauce on the side, which wasn't overly sweet. However, the highlight for me was definitely the A1. Veggie Egg Roll! It was crispy and delicious without being greasy at all. I will definitely order from here again—the portions are great for the price!

The P4. Shredded Pork With Garlic Sauce 鱼香肉丝 was very tangy couldnt really taste the pork, C3. General Tsos Chicken 左宗鸡 also strange tang not much heat too much gelatin sauce . Lo F8. Chicken Lo Mein was good and so was D22. Kung pao Tofu and eggrolls

D3. General Taos Chicken is VERY spicy. So much more than I expected. Egg drop soup is delicious and so are A9. Shanghai Dumpling 上海小笼包.
