Veggie Castle - South Richmond Hill

Very disappointed with the food I’m a customer who orders occasionally. I was so surprised when the rice tasted SPOILED. The veggie rice had curry gravy on top. I believe that was the issue. I’ve decided not to buy any food from there any longer. I wish I did not drive away from the restaurant I would have returned my orders and got my money back. Instead I decided to throw away my second order and write a review.

I love you so much Veggie Castle. You always get my orders exactly how I ask and it always tastes soooo good!! You guys are the best and always make my day it doesn’t matter what you order, it’s always gonna be bomb!! Yummyyyyyy

The food is absolutely amazing and my new favourite! I wish we had places like this in Canada. I tried the Drumsticks, ginger chicken, curry chicken, mac and cheese, veg chow main, and the butternut squash. I loved every single one of them. My personal favourite out of them is the drumsticks. My meat eater boyfriend was blown away by the food as well. A must stop for the vegetarian community. It has very large portions to feed you for a couple meals. The atmosphere is very good. Friendly people and staff.

This was on my radar after my friend from Cali said this is one of her favorite places to go when she’s on the east coast. I was surprised to see so many options other than the typical veggie burger, cauliflower and salad. I ordered the mac cheese which was delicious all things considered but I wish it had more seasoning (salt, pepper, smoked paprika, etc. , ginger chicken and rice peas. My partner had the mushroom burger w/ fries and that was bomb. We will definitely be back.

Hot takeout bar was great. Reasonably priced, big portions. Some of the sides were just ok but most was absolutely knockout good including the veggie chicken. Unfortunately the red velvet cake was dry and hard.Would definitely eat here again, excited to try their other options.
