Contribuiți la feedbackI ordered a jalfriezi at the restaurant and was surprised to find that they used Patak's sauce. I ended up taking some home and a friend who enjoys curries agreed that it was Patak's and not authentic. The naan bread, mango sauce, and sour cream mint sauce were all bought from Booths, a store across the road. Additionally, the annoying modern music playing in the background made me eager to leave as soon as possible.
I recently visited The Rams Head for a roast dinner and was extremely impressed. The staff was very welcoming and the food selection was amazing. The beef portion was the biggest I've ever seen and incredibly juicy. They offered a variety of meats like beef, turkey, gammon, and pork, as well as a wide selection of vegetables. The chocolate fountain with marshmallows and fudge was a delicious touch. Overall, a fantastic experience! I would rate it 10/10, absolutely perfect. Can't wait to come back soon.
We have chosen the Rams Head in Longton for our family Christmas meal for the 10th year in a row. The staff always take good care of us and the food was fantastic as usual. The service was attentive as always. Although our group is getting smaller over time, the Rams Head will always be our top choice. Thank you once again for making our Christmas so memorable.
I had the worst Christmas dinner of my 58 years on this planet at this restaurant! The soup starter looked like pureed baby food and tasted terrible. When our mains arrived, I only got a small amount of sweet potato mash, which was delicious but not enough. My meat was flavorful and tender, but I only received two Yorkshire puddings, even though others at the table got more. We had to ask for more gravy, which they brought in a small boat that we all had to share. The rest of the meal was served in an oval dish with new potatoes, green beans, sprouts, and carrots, which left us hungry. When we asked for mashed potatoes, the waitress said the chef couldn't make any, leaving us shocked. The roast potatoes were undercooked and unpleasant. My eldest son was refused a Christmas dinner, so he had to settle for beef stroganoff. Although the dessert was good, it was probably store-bought. This experience was a total failure, and they should refund everyone who was as disappointed as we were. Never again!
I visited The Rams Head based on a recommendation and was not disappointed. The establishment is primarily a pub with a dining area. The restaurant section was clean and comfortable, although it lacked a bit in ambiance. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and plentiful. I opted for the Sunday carvery, which was priced at a reasonable £10.95. The roast meats (beef, turkey breast, pork) were cooked to perfection and tender, but could have had a bit more flavor. They were accompanied by a variety of buffet options such as creamed mushrooms, scampi, pigs in blankets, and more. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and there was a wide variety including cabbage, sprouts, leeks, carrots, peas, sweet corn, cauliflower cheese, green beans, and various types of potatoes. Overall, I would definitely consider returning to this establishment.
