Bustling little bistro with a cult following that packed the house on a Tuesday night. We got bar service 1st available with no reservation food was a fast and service was proper. Prices a bit steep, particularly the ceasar, for its size and freshness. The entrees were excellent, ate every bite but left planning my midnight snack. Would recommend for a nice meal. Delicious dinner! The mushroom asparagus risotto was one of the best risottos I’ve ever had. The brussel sprouts were also delicious. Our waitress was great. We were sat easily with our reservations. Had a fantastic meal at David’s last night. Started out with a jalapeño margarita, which was a perfect blend of spice and alcohol. It was served in a tall glass, which was a nice surprise. Our appetizer of Burrata, avocado, and heirloom tomatoes served over a bed of arugula with balsamic vinegar was delicious. My meal was a vegan fettuccini bolognese with be’f. I had thought this was a mistake on the menu and it really was beef Bolognese. It was so delicious!!! I can’t believe it wasn’t meat!!! The homemade pasta was phenomenal too! My fiancé had meatloaf, which was also great. Dessert was a raspberry lime cheesecake, which was served so beautifully. Definitely make this restaurant a must on your stop in Portland.
