Shoney's - South Pittsburg

Closed for several years now. Doesn't look like it will reopen. Building is falling apart.

It 's closed! It 's rotting away. I would be surprised if there is any copper piping left in the building. It 's so nasty that even the rats have abandoned the place. At best this restaurant makes for good overflow parking for the electrical line crew trucks.

This place has been closed for years. Sign says remodeling but no indication that is happening. Such a good place for a restaurant that the city needs.

I absolutely loved the wide selection of items on the breakfast bar, everything looked fresh and warm. However, I had a slight issue with the cashier who seemed more concerned about clearing my check before addressing any mistakes made by the waitress. Despite this, I will be returning this weekend with my 10-year-old son Liam. Thank you.

This Shoney's restaurant is the most run-down one I have ever visited. We arrived at 8:20 AM for breakfast and noticed that the floors had not been cleaned from the night before. I have worked at several Shoney's locations in Knoxville and would never allow our restaurants to be in such a state. The bathrooms were extremely outdated, with walls falling apart. The entrance door was difficult to open. I can only imagine how old and neglected the kitchen must be. This was a disappointing experience and I am surprised that this location is still in business. I would advise against dining here.
