The Talkhouse Inn - South Oxfordshire

Visited a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely, went back Saturday with friends and it was disappointing food not the best and one dessert didn’t arrive because the person who knows how to make it had stepped out ???

Dined here with work colleagues. Upon entry you will find a really nice old pub, tastefully decorated. I did find it a little cool when sitting at the table. There were only a coulee of tables of diners, so fairly quiet. Staff were friendly. My issue was that the menu is a little pretentious given that dish titles (e.g. De la Mer/of the sea) we in French and for each course you you choose petit or grand rather than having Starters/mains etc; just seemed a little all over the place.

A lovely warm welcome awaits you in this pub. Plenty of locals eating which is always a good sign. Perfect spot on a warm balmy summer evening. Food excellent, wine list good, setting perfect. Everything was beautifully presented.
