The Crown Pub, Chalgrove

We held our daughters christening at the crown today and they were so helpful, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure it went smoothly (these things can be stressful). The added bonus of the bouncy castles kept the little people entertained. Everyone thought the food was amazing they snaffles most of it

A very unfreindly welcome. It took me so long to get served I gave up and went somewhere else for a drink.

We had a Chinese take away on 25 April 2018. The food was terrible. Noodles in a horrible hot spicy sauce curry style hot). We couldn’t work out whether one dish was chicken, fish or vegetable as covered in the most awful batter. Subsequently checked and it had a zero food standard rating.

We came in here after a meal a couple of drinks in one of the other 2 pubs in the village both gastro pubs The Crown is the antithesis to the other pubs, having laminate flooring modern, fairly spartan looking fittings. 2 large bars, one more of a lounge with a T. V. the other with pool table T. V. screen. All the clientele were in the latter bar. Not very busy, no one in the former bar except us but I would expect the place to do well when sport is on view if I was a local it would probably be where I would mostly go. Found the barman very friendly the draught Morland San Miguel excellent. There is a Chinese Take Away attached.

Friendly family pub with a beautiful renter, renter and staff. what a great place for beer wine and the most amazing selection of gins. Keep a look for the tasting evening, we went to gin tasting (see photo) which is a brilliant night. lee’s grill also does some great pub-grub so to come into the krone and enjoy (see other photo)
