The Chequers Inn - South Oxfordshire

Excellent Sunday Roast! 3 adults and a child attended and sat next to a roaring fire which we very much enjoyed. The service was outstanding with my 8 year old son commenting “The people in here are just so kind!”. Delicious roast with a generous portion, lovely pork, half decent roast potatoes, great veg and the best gravy and yorkshires. Accompanying sauces were plentiful and I was met with warmth when asking for a little extra gravy which made us all very happy. Will be back to visit again soon, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch with our family, including the kids, and it was a delightful treat! The Sunday roast was delicious, and the setting was truly special. Aaron went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the kid's menu and outside play area added an extra element of fun and enjoyment to our meal. The pub is absolutely stunning, with excellent service and fantastic food! We felt incredibly welcomed at this lovely pub, making it one of our favorite places we've ever been to. The meals are pricy, but definitely worth every cent thanks to their talented chef.

Recently, this pub has had some issues, but Aaron has successfully resolved them. The pub now has a charming look with its new décor and lighting, and the menu offers a good mix of traditional pub fare and unique dishes. It is a fantastic place to dine!

Came for dinner. The atmosphere and service was great. The food was ok not anything special. Food was overpriced and limited menu for vegetarians.
