Contribuiți la feedbackI called in this week with my grandchildren for tea. All of the items that we would want were not available. This is not the first time. The very helpful woman on the till explained that many items had not been available for some time. It is no good advertising a new menu and offers if thay are then not available in the cafe. I feel sorry for the very hardworking, friendly and helpful staff. They deserve better management both at Head Office and store level. We were also going to do a large shop after eating, but decided that since Morrisons neither respects customer (nor staff! we would take our business up the road to a better supermarket. No wonder that Morrisons is experiencing a fall in market share. Sir Ken must be turning in his grave!
Today at midday I witnessed a customer in the cafe complain to a manager that the air con was to cold. She was correct sat near a air outlet and the air made me shiver. It is November and it was 13 degrees outside. Why is the air con on when everyone is trying to lower their electricity cost. Surely there’s a dial to adjust it. Also I queued in the restaurant,when I got to the till to order my food I was told it’s 30,40 mins wait for food, why isn’t there a sign at the start of the queue instead of at the till. Don’t know why the delay as cafe only 1/4 full, mash potatoes looked like its been under the heat lamp for hours. Not a good visit.
Morrisons have now made this restaurant cold as exposed to the rest of the shop, too many air cons on yourself and cooling down any hot food they serve to your table uninviting and lack of privacy as you are exposed to all the shoppers and staff whilst trying to eat. The change is only to the cold layout and hard seats so you are more comfortable if you sit in your car. As far as I can see the menu has not changed but the portions have become smaller and the prices higher, perhaps you are paying for the free kids meals on offer here which doesn't benefit me. Staff were helpful enough but there was a lady who could hardly walk serving food to customers so I felt really sorry for her, I felt like serving her not the other way around. Also just having one digital order till was not enough. Best to buy a sandwich meal deal or they also have some nice salads which you can have with a hot drink and eat it in the car with more privacy and warm air blowing on your feet or catching the sun rays through your windscreen....
This cafe is seriously understaffed or staff are poorly trained. No indication that waiting time for food would be more than 30 minutes. On asking for refund had to join a queue of 4 other customers with same request.
Visited today with my husband ordered poached eggs on avocado toast and small breakfast. Lady behind us who ordered after us served with breakfast, so after 30mins my husband went to enquire. The lady bringing out food who also took our order then appeared with our food. This was duly served to us with the comment 'you have everything you need ' she then turned and walked away. No apology nothing, we were speechless. We can only assume that the breakfast had been in the kitchen left on the side as the breakfast were barely warm and eggs hard. We have given this establishment more chances than we should so no more will we visit the cafe. The current staff need either retraining or leave so that you can employ more personable willing staff.
