Had passed by and talked to the chef was really excited to go eat with a friend. Great Israeli food among other offerings, the best malaweh, Yemenite bread, delicious labne and humus, lamb skewers and their special coffee, so good, can't wait to go back
One of the best hot chocolates I have ever tasted! It's rich and not too sweet, perfect for a boost in the morning. The food is reasonable, with wide variety of choices and healthy meals to kick start the day! The croissants is served well with salad, ham and perfectly melted cheese but it's rather a big portion so sharing is recommended if you're a small eater.
I used to live next door to this café and absolutely adore the coffee and food that they serve. Here you can drink really well made Melbourne latte's, flat white's etc, eat delicious meals (some with an Israeli twist, since the owner and chef is originally from there) and scrumptious cakes. You can also buy freshly baked bread to bring home. The staff is incredibly friendly and will always chat to you and make you feel welcome. I highly recommend paying a visit to the Left Handed Chef!
The left handed chef (LHC) is a cosy café with friendly staff and good coffee! As with most people there we were a small table of friends catching up for brunch and having a good catch up. There was a friendly atmosphere but nothing overpowering or too loud. This isn’t a place you’d bring a big group. The tables only really seat three or four people with around six tables fitting inside. There’s additional seating outside also, but again not for a big group. They also do takeaway food (including bakery), and there was a constant demand for takeaway coffees, so clearly a locals choice. Variety of food was good, brunch and lunch options with the occasional twist. We had standard brunch menu items which was eggs, avo on toast with bacon sort of thing. A big sized helping and well priced, around $15 each. Coffees on top of that bought the total bill to $55 which was reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food arrived in a good time - but not too quick (about 15 mins), and was all cooked excellently.
