The initial impressions of the restaurant were positive, with a welcoming atmosphere thanks to decorations on the footpath. Inside, there are multiple seating areas, catering to different preferences. Despite feeling tired after a long day with my coworkers, I could see the potential for a more enjoyable experience in the future, especially with a group of friends. The meal itself was average, with the calamari being overly generous in portion but lacking in flavor. I wouldn't choose this dish again. However, my colleagues ordered dishes like risotto and pork steak, which looked and tasted delicious. We also tried some additional sides that were quite tasty. Overall, while my personal dish was disappointing, the restaurant seems to offer a variety of options that could cater to different tastes.

The superior service manager hired us at the entry, was not welcome and asked what we did there? I said we eat (family with children) he always said to check before it sat as there were often functions. the place was quiet and clear without fun. When he returned from below, he asked me again what I did there. I once again explained that we already have one table for dinner. when he left us, he stared at us, no farewell or thank you. very unprofessional. we will not return.

29 families and friends, ranging in age from 2 to 97, had a wonderful lunch on Anzac Day. We had a private area for our group with plenty of room for the children to move around. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient, and the pub food was delicious. The experience was excellent, especially considering the challenging Covid conditions.

Bell's Hotel is a beloved establishment among the residents of South Melbourne. The bar is adorned with lacquered wood and the cuisine is renowned for its high quality. Additionally, there is a microbrewery located on the premises that offers unique craft beers. Bell's is frequented by professionals who work in the area, with many employed by media companies. It is widely regarded as one of the top pubs in Melbourne.

If you've been to the famous Bells Hotel 10 years ago and go back now you won't recognise the place. it is unbelievable what they have done to this venue. There must be a dozen different areas, all unique, with sports bars, garden bars and...rooftop bars. has to be one of, if not the best venue in Melbourne now. If you want to have a function, go down and have a look it's awesome. Make sure you check out the upstairs area!!
