Emanuel's Chip Shop - South Lanarkshire

The food was very enjoyable, I was happy until I was told I couldn’t swim in the fish tank. This greatly saddened me but the food was great.

I can recommend this chip shop as their special fish is always good value and good quality. Their special fish comprises of two fish, however if you have a small appetite, then you can order a half a special which will give you one fair sized fish at a reduced price.

Just took 2 suppers home. The chips were cold, hard and dry. Tasted horrible. Seems they must have been made hours before and reheated? Will not be back.

This place has gradually got worse over the past 6 months or so but my visit on Sunday was the final straw. I ordered a standard fish supper, as i arrived home i realised they hadn't used batter it resembled yellow breadcrumbs. I then thought they had mixed up my order perhaps this was their version of special fish (although it didn't look right at all). I had one bite of it was almost sick...it tasted as though it had been dipped in a bucket of dirty water. The chips were also disgusting. I'm not overly fussy but this was totally inedible i had to bin the complete meal. It's a shame to see a once proud establishment so downhill so rapidly. I 100% will never go back here.

Basically after having a couple of bad experience's I read on a local discuss page that I sm not the onlyone who has experienced **** chips. It is said that they keep getting bad potatoes delivered and then still choose to use them. Staff being rude. I won't be back. I live close to it but there are far better chop shops only a 5 min drive away. Shame when it changed hands the quality has now went to a new low.
