Woodlands - South Lakeland

We stayed in a very comfortable and clean room with a nice en suite bathroom. The big bed was very comfy with good pillows. Breakfast included juice, cereal, fruit platter, and an English cooked breakfast, all cooked very well. We also had dinner twice during our stay, with both meals being well cooked and tasty. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The meal was perfectly cooked with high-quality ingredients. The service was exceptional and Angelina went above and beyond to assist us. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem.

We had a fantastic meal with excellent service from our waitress, Deb. The food was top-notch and the barman kept us entertained and made sure our glasses were always full. We will definitely be returning to dine here again.

Visited with my dad tonight. I had the steak and ale pie and my dad had the fish and chips. Both were fantastic and great value. The owners were very hospitable.

We ate in the conservatory twice during our stay at Meathop Fell Caravan Park. The waiter/manager was very pleasant and efficient and we felt quite safe during COVID Protection times. The food was delicious, especially the onion soup and lamb tagine on the first night. The second night I had scampi and chips and partner had beef burger, again lovely food and well presented. Highly recommended and would be a reason to return to the caravan park. The lodges in the grounds of the hotel looked really nice.
