Taste Of Europe - South Lake Tahoe

During my visit from out of state, I had no specific expectations and was simply on the lookout for a nice place to enjoy a meal. To my surprise, it turned out to be the best dining experience I had in South Lake Tahoe — comparable to Hell's Kitchen but at just a fraction of the price. We shared the pork shank for two, which was served with red cabbage, sauerkraut, and spätzle. I had never really tried German cuisine before, but I was thoroughly impressed. Our waiter had a dry sense of humor and a straightforward demeanor, both of which I appreciated. Since we were nearly the only customers right before closing, he let us take our time and didn’t rush us. He also recommended some fantastic beer pairings based on what we ordered. I would absolutely recommend this place — 11 out of 10!

The food here is incredibly delicious, and the restaurant is very clean, thanks to the attentive owners who serve you personally. If you're in South Lake Tahoe, this is a must-try spot! I highly recommend the Roasted Pork Shank!

I dined here three weeks ago and enjoyed a wonderful meal. We both started with soup, followed by the Taste of Europe Schnitzel, and I couldn't find anything wrong with either dish. Our server, who was bald (I apologize for not catching his name), was friendly and very helpful. He offered great advice on how to explore the lake if you're not a fan of heights. We also tried the goulash, which was absolutely delicious.

Very good Schnitzel, red cabbage, and Spätzle. THE beer went well with meal. The service was great. We would return if we ever are in the area.

The best food we have tried in a while. And that says a lot coming from a New Yorker. Chicken Schnitzel was so good, you didn’t need a knife to cut into it. Their soup was amazing as well. Planning to get a house nearby just so I can visit more often
