What a serious drag. I mean you're so expensive it's ridiculous and then you force us to use a card? Bring back cash Please. And clean up your restrooms. Maybe you need more employees? Carpets need to be cleaned too. But I do love Heavenly.
As Vail Resorts continues to acquire and monopolize ski resorts--that rely upon permits to operate on our national forest lands--it's ultimately the public that suffers. I've skiied here for 30 years and they continue to cut costs by reducing labor and opening the mountain slower every year. Three days after a storm and they don't have Sky open or any of the Nevada side. This makes it a complete zoo at the California lodge and CA side of the mountain. It's a shame alternative options are limited (they also bought Kirkwood) and it's clear that prrofit and shareholders are the priority. Am I cynical of America's late stage capitalism? Yes. On the plus side, the views are heavenly and there are 5000 acres when the mountain is open.
Do not Valet your skis or boards at the valet, they stole mine and its like nobody even cares, probably sold them on ebay,. called security and they act like theyver never even heard that they have a valet. Do not leave your s here.
We were Heavenly customers before Vail Resorts bought them in March of 2002. Our season pass also applies to Northstar, acquired in October 2010, and Kirkwood, acquired in April 2012. I am very happy with all the acquisitions; I feel I am getting a better value from my season pass. Quality/Quantity Last season I broke my vertical record with my daughter!! And on a Sunday! Dining Don't need reservations, proof of vaccination, and face coverings any more. Cashless transactions. Atmosphere Excessive long lines near the opening entrance. But once I got on the mountain, there were not a lot of people. Service Good. In the past they had a very positive aggressive customer service program, where the employees had to say hi and almost make small talk with the customers. It would be great to see that again. Price Season pass almost $500. Owner Suggestion Congrats on all your successes with your 37 resorts in 3 countries. Look forward to skiing as many of your properties as possible.
It's been way too long for me to write a personal review on my ski trip to Heavenly, but I do have fond memories of my experience that will live on with me until I die. And that motivates me to give the gift of experience when considering Christmas presents. I was able to purchase a couple of day passes for my family to enrich their Northern Nevada vist for the holidays. It was so easy purchasing the tickets online and today I have 2 family members excited to experience Heavenly and the beauty of the Lake Tahoe area. Lots of great ski pass options. A little pricey due to the holidays. But how can you put a price on great memories? Unfortunately, I got the short end of the peppermint stick and have to work this holiday season, but it's tempting to pop on my old skis and have fun with the group. So close too!
