Gastromaniac Homemade Pasta Pizza

We stopped here for the handmade pasta. I asked for Alfredo sauce with a little red sauce for a rose sauce and they said they couldn't do it. REALLY? You pick your sauce! But if you don't pick THEIR exact sauce your out of luck. We went next door to ROJOs and got exactly what we wanted. Dining out is too expensive to not get what you want within reason. Not an unreasonable request.

5 stars for the gnocchi with 3 cheese sauce. Probably the best gnocchi this year. 5 stars on the pizza as well. The Bolognese with mafaldine was probably only 3.5 stars as the sauce was okay and the pasta over cooked.

Wow, we had high hopes as this place came highly recommended. We are Lake Tahoe locals. We called at 4:35 and they said no problem with ordering take out. We asked because their website doesn’t say take out. Anyway, we called back 5 minutes later and were told they were too busy for a take out order and to call back in a half hour. I asked if we would definitely be able to order in a half hour and the gal said she couldn’t be sure. So my guy drove there. He tried to order pesto, they were out, really? So he ordered the potato gnocchi with bolognese, a tomato basil pasta and the fried artichokes. He gets home, we open the boxes. Instead of gnocchi they gave us fried bread. The fried artichokes was one artichoke and the tomato basil pasta didn’t have a lick of basil. Needless to say, we will NOT be back and will be sure to share our experience with other locals,

Was reallllly looking forward to try this place, especially because it was so busy 2 night in a row that we tried going.Unfortunately, it was not worth the wait. Didn’t mind paying over $60 for 2 pastas and a pizza if it’s some good food!! But it just wasn’t what I expected. Four cheese was really plain and dry, pasta just didn’t have the flavor I was looking for. Meat bolognese was the same, hardly any sauce, very dry, almost tasted like hamburger helper. I’m sorry to say 2 stars from my family and I.
