Black Cabin Coffee - South Lake Tahoe

Before heading out for a Saturday morning hike, my husband and I stopped by Drink Coffee Do Stuff. Unfortunately, they had just experienced a rush, and many of their breakfast items and baked goods were sold out. Their new shipment hadn’t arrived yet, so we decided to share some pumpkin bread. I ordered a seasonal latte while my husband opted for a classic black coffee. The service was quick and friendly. I can see how this would be a lovely place to relax with a coffee on a nice day, but it was raining during our visit, and there were no indoor seating options. However, I did really enjoy the sweatshirt I bought from them with the simple slogan: "Drink Coffee Do Stuff." It’s warm and cozy, and I receive compliments on it all the time.

This used to be an excellent place for coffee and breakfast sandwiches, but it has declined significantly. The coffee is now watered down, the service is slow, orders often get mixed up, and the quality of the food is below average.

This place used to be Black Cabin Coffee, and now it has a strange new name. They used to serve delightful lattes and incredible homemade pastries, but now the coffee is watered down and the baked goods are prepackaged. No thanks!

WARNING: This listing used to be Black Cabin, which is the only reason it looks like it has good reviews! Like many others, we wish they would've kept *literally anything* from Black Cabin; the food, the coffee, the tea, the amazing staff. Instead the staff is horrible SO rude, acts like any questions you ask are a burden, consistently gets your order wrong, and super insensitive to allergy requests. Way too over priced for the quality and service you are getting. It's so sad to see a brand plummet. Bring back Black Cabin Chai, pistachio syrup, and soyrizo breakfast burritos and everyone will be able to deal with the terrible staff! In the meantime, go to FreeBird :

This place is fantastic! I came here multiple times during my stay in Lake Tahoe and couldn't have been happier with their food. The first time I came here, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew and the Soyrizo Breakfast Burrito per the recommendation of the barista and they were so good that I came here each morning because I was craving both of these items! The Nitro is very smooth. The Soyrizo was cooked well both times and was very tasty especially with the hot sauce. If there is anything negative to say, it would be that it took a while for the Soyrizo to come out, but they were busy and it was so good that I would not dock and stars at all. Definitely a must go to for breakfast when visiting the area! The outside and inside spaces are both very cute as well!
