Bennys Clam Shack - South Kingstown

Amazing!!! Expect average wings here. Not the thing. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to say the least. Intestine I say at the level of tavern at the main. The outside of the wings had a crispy dough, and the chicken perfectly cooked inside. A made to order experience to choose with many sauces. An experience. Dough to eat in the car, but be warned. The sauce is lazy. Yay Wakefield, start getting good food options.

I was looking for a place with good fried fish. Benny's here. Below in the southern RI, we have a lot of places where the friend fish is so coated in dough that I feel like eating a corn dog. Not Bennys. Lightbatter. Flaky fish. Just what I needed. The pommes were also delicious. Now you don't want to stay in winter. There may be 4 seats inside. It's not nice and it's not expensive. It's just delicious.

My friend and I stayed here for lunch and got 2 hot weavers and an order of homemade pommes. You give your order in the window of this tiny building. Just cash, plan ahead. It was delicious and the price was not bad! I'll visit her a lot.

I had fish and chips and my partner had clam chowder. Everything was delicious and the portions were big without being wasteful. It wasn't super cheap but it was reasonably priced especially for the amount of food we got. The staff was extremely kind and I think they even stayed open late to make my food (I called before I saw their closing time and they didn't say anything and served me with a smile. One very important thing to know, they are CASH ONLY.
