The Riverside Fish Bar Restaurant

It can be difficult to find a good fish and chip shop these days, especially away from the seaside. However, this fish bar pleasantly surprised me. The staff was friendly, the option to dine in was appreciated, and the chips were the best I've had in a long time. Our group all ordered different meals and everyone left satisfied. The prices were also very reasonable. Thank you for a great experience!

The Riverside is definitely the top spot for fish and chips in the area! The staff is incredibly friendly and the fish is always cooked fresh. We ordered a large cod that was absolutely huge, and I mean huge. We are now loyal customers and couldn't be happier.

After finishing our meal, I turned to ask for the bill from one of the waiters who was sitting behind me on the phone. She rudely replied, "I am on break" when I requested the bill. When I asked for the manager to complain about the poor customer service, all she could offer was a half-hearted apology, claiming they thought we were still eating. This experience was utterly appalling, with a severe lack of service and respect. I told the manager that it was my first time at this restaurant and I was shocked by the rude behavior of the waitstaff. It seems that this restaurant caters to a certain type of clientele, and the prices were high for the level of service provided. I highly recommend avoiding this place altogether.

Best fish and chips. Particularly as two members of family love grilled fish not battered. Absolutely excellent.

Visited for my partners birthday for lunch. Food was absolutely delicious and prices good. Only thing was price of a can of soft drink was a bit expensive. Would definitely go back here again.
